About this role

We are looking for an Engagement Lead with 5+ years of experience in accounting software implementation and customer management to deploy EliseAI's back-office accounting products to enterprise customers. You'll be a forward-deployed accountant—part consultant, part implementation expert—helping customers scope, configure, and launch financial automation workflows at startup speed.

What will you be doing?

Managing customer engagements end-to-end, working directly with CFOs and finance teams to deploy accounting and ERP products

Scoping customer workflows and configuring EliseAI's accounting software to match their needs

Owning pre-sales and post-sales activities for accounting-specific products (GL, AP, AR, payroll, payments)

Communicating complex accounting and technical concepts to customers clearly and effectively

Operating at startup pace—taking ownership, moving fast, and building processes from scratch

Key Requirements

Experience in ERP/accounting software implementation (e.g., Finance Transformation at Big 4, or at an accounting/ERP startup)

Strong understanding of back-office accounting processes (GL, reconciliations, month-end close, AP/AR)

Proven customer management skills—ability to communicate complex topics to senior finance stakeholders

Builder mindset with ability to work at startup pace; not looking for someone who needs heavy structure

Willingness to work on-site in NYC 4-5 days per week
