About the role:

In this role you are responsible for the commercial strategy and execution for the Electrical and Kitchen Retail channels within the local markets. It is a pivotal leadership position within the Sales function, responsible for driving profitable growth, expanding market share, and building strong customer partnerships; you are responsible for all B2B-related sales in the local markets, leads the sales teams in France and are a member of the Commercial Area South Leadership Team.

The role is part of a new commercial structure which has been implemented to operate with greater speed, clarity, and accountability at a local level within the Commercial Area South organisation, ensuring the organisation is well-positioned to deliver on the strategic priorities.

What you’ll do:

  • Develop and execute mid- to long-term commercial strategies for France, aligned with Group and CA South objectives. Lead all B2B-related sales channels including Key Accounts, Independent Retailers, and Wholesalers. Lead the French Commercial Triangle (i.e. Sales, Product Line, Marketing, Trade Operations) to ensure these teams work closely together to achieve the organizational goals. Contribute actively to the CA South Leadership Team.
  • Own and deliver the full P&L responsibility, ensuring profitable growth and market share expansion. Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and partners. Oversee commercial negotiations on pricing, terms & conditions, and investments to secure long-term value.
  • Provide active and engaging leadership to the teams and the Commercial Triangle. Foster a high-performance culture, support talent development, and drive engagement across central and local teams.
  • Analyse market trends, risks, and opportunities to refine strategy. Maximise retail distribution coverage and floor share across channels, ensuring strong brand visibility and consumer access.
  • Collaborate closely with the CA South Leadership Team, and other departments and/or stakeholders to align the international sales strategy with local execution and to drive the organizational goals.
  • Lead strategic and operational projects. Define planning criteria, allocate resources, and ensure successful delivery through structured guidance and monitoring.
  • Handle HR matters in line with company policies and legal requirements and in collaboration with HR. Participation and negotiation within Workers’ Representatives meetings.
  • As a People Leader, ensure team safety and support the wellbeing of your direct and, if applicable, indirect reports.
  • Carry out any other duties and/or projects reasonably requested to support business initiatives and goals, ensuring effective delivery to plan and timeline.

Who you are:

  • 10-15 years of experience and proven success in leading large and diverse sales teams, ideally within a commercial consumer goods company or in similar complex or competitive market environments. International experience would be highly advantageous.
  • Thorough knowledge of field sales and multi-channel distribution networks with an understanding of the relevant channels. Strong understanding of retail dynamics and consumer behaviour.
  • Experience in leading teams through change, with strong change management skills and the ability to maintain team morale and performance during transitions in a complex, multinational environment.
  • Degree educated, preferably in Business, Management, or a related field – or equivalent through relevant work experience.
  • Strategic thinking, financial acumen and cross-functional collaboration with both local and international stakeholders; ability to translate strategy into business priorities
  • Solid people management skills, with a demonstrated ability to lead, inspire, and guide commercially driven teams.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic and matrix-driven environment with high level of resilience
