UI/UX Designer, ServiceNow Platform

As a UI/UX Designer for the ServiceNow platform, you will help create intuitive, accessible, and engagingexperiences across enterprise workflows. Working with UX leadership, product owners, business stakeholders, architects, and developers, you will translate user needs and complex processes into clear
designs that improve usability, adoption, and productivity.
This is a hands-on individual contributor role. You will participate in research and discovery, create journey maps, user flows, wireframes, and prototypes, support usability testing, and collaborate with delivery teams from concept through implementation. You will apply established design standards while contributing ideas and reusable patterns that improve the overall platform experience.
What you will do
- Design user experiences for ServiceNow workspaces, Employee Center, portals, mobile experiences, Virtual Agent, and AI-assisted workflows.
- Create user flows, wireframes, responsive layouts, clickable prototypes, and design specifications using Figma or comparable tools.
- Participate in user interviews, workflow observation, journey mapping, usability testing, and design workshops.
- Synthesize user and stakeholder feedback into clear experience requirements and practical design recommendations.
- Apply established UX standards, design-system components, accessibility requirements, and reusable platform patterns.
- Collaborate with product owners, business analysts, architects, and developers to balance user needs with platform capabilities and delivery constraints.
- Support backlog refinement and provide design details and acceptance criteria needed for development.
- Review implemented experiences, identify gaps from approved designs, and support usability validation before and after release.
- Document design decisions and contribute new patterns, research findings, and examples to the UX practice.
- Present design concepts and recommendations clearly to project teams and business stakeholders.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in human-computer interaction, UX or product design, service design, graphic design, psychology, information science, computer science, information systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 3+ years of professional experience in UX design, UI design, product design, interaction design, or digital experience design.
- A portfolio demonstrating user-centered design, user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and delivered digital experiences.
- Proficiency with Figma, FigJam, or comparable design and prototyping tools.
- Experience participating in user research, usability testing, or design workshops and translating findings into design improvements.
- Understanding of responsive design, accessibility, inclusive design, and WCAG principles.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams in an Agile or iterative product-delivery environment.
- Strong visual, written, presentation, and collaboration skills.

- Experience designing enterprise applications, workflow solutions, customer-facing applications, or employee experience platforms.
- Ability to translate business requirements and complex processes into intuitive task flows and user interfaces.
- Experience applying a design system, reusable component library, or established UX standards.
- Ability to prepare clear design specifications and collaborate with developers through implementation.
- Ability to manage assigned design work across multiple initiatives with guidance from UX or product leadership.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience designing for ServiceNow or another enterprise workflow, CRM, case-management, or low-code platform.
- Familiarity with ServiceNow UI Builder, Configurable Workspace, Employee Center, Service Portal, Virtual Agent, mobile experiences, or Now Assist.
- Experience creating journey maps, personas, service blueprints, or workflow diagrams.
- Experience designing AI-assisted, conversational, role-based, or high-volume operational experiences.
- Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, or modern front-end development concepts sufficient to collaborate with engineers.
- ServiceNow UX-related training or certification, or formal training in user research, accessibility, human centered design, or service design.

- Assigned designs are clear, accessible, aligned with established standards, and ready for development.
- User research and usability feedback are reflected in design recommendations and iterative improvements.
- Implemented experiences match the intended design and help users complete priority tasks with less confusion and effort.
- Design artifacts, decisions, and specifications are documented and communicated effectively.
- The designer contributes constructively to reusable patterns and the continued development of the ServiceNow UX practice.
