About this role
The Samuel Ginn College of Engineering is seeking a customer-focused and detail-oriented professional to support daily operations of the Engineering Spirit Store. This position combines retail operations, e-commerce management, inventory control, customer service, and event support to promote and strengthen the Auburn Engineering brand.
The Spirit Store is here to provide affordable options of apparel and gifts to promote a strong and proud brand for our Auburn Engineering Family! We are dedicated to serving the engineering family including students, faculty, staff alumni and friends.
Typical work would be performed between 9:00a-3:00p Monday -Friday. Occasional after hours or weekend events, ample notification time.

Responsibilities
- Processes daily sales and purchasing transactions; handles and reconciles the cash, checks and credit card documents;
- Processes daily collection reports/deposits
- Assists in-store customers in product selection; informs patrons about current and future sales.
- Oversee all steps of the online order fulfillment process, including merchandise selection, charging, shipment, and customer service.
- Maintains inventory, reorders stock and supplies.
- Responsible for the overall content of the Spirit Store website, including overall site appearance, written copy for landing pages, curation of merchandise for online catalogs, and creation and maintenance of individual product pages with detailed product copy and description.
- Collaborates with the team to plan, promote, and implement sales campaigns, and tracks the success of the promotion.
- Coordinates and operates the Spirit Store during special events including Engineering Football Tailgates, Welcome back Cookout and Engineering Day with outdoor set-up, processing orders and processing of inventory and sales after each event.
- Works collaboratively with the editing, writing, and design team regarding project deadlines, job estimates, and the status of projects.
- Works collaboratively with multiple apparel, promotional, print/sign vendors
- Works collaboratively with departments and offices on apparel and promotional ordering and processes
- Processes invoices for Spirit Store apparel and promotional inventory
- Serves as the point-of-contact to management, vendors, and customers regarding the status of projects.
- Coordinates in-house printing submitted by offices and departments
- Manage printing inventory to include ordering supplies.
- Maintains graphic equipment to include printer and paper stack cutter.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or Equivalent
2 years Experience in retail management, online sales and marketing management, and/or customer service.
Desired Qualifications Bachelor's Degree In Management, Business Administration, Marketing, Public Relations, Liberal Arts, or related field
$18.00-$30.00 per hour, pay is commensurate with education and experience
