Overview

The Harrison College of Pharmacy at Auburn University is seeking a COACH Operations Manager for our Center for Opioid Research Education and Outreach (COACH). This innovative program brings together a multidisciplinary team of experts to lead a unified, collaborative response to substance use and substance use disorders across Alabama. Reporting to the Associate Dean for Research, the COACH Operations Manager directs the operations and coordinates financial strategies of the Center for Opioid Research, Education and Outreach (COACH) to support the mission of COACH and the Harrison College of Pharmacy (HCOP).


Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day operations of COACH; support strategic planning, goal implementation, process improvement, and execution of center-wide initiatives. 
  • Oversee budgets, expenditures, contracts, invoices, grant administration, reporting requirements, and financial compliance across multiple funding sources.  
  • Assist with COACH educational, outreach, and service programs, including community initiatives, K-12 education, professional training, and engagement events.  
  • Assist in the direction of administrative and program staff; training and professional development, and day-to-day task management.  
  • Develops and tracks program metrics, evaluates outcomes, prepares reports and dashboards, and uses data to inform decision-making and enhance program effectiveness.  
  • Serve as a liaison with faculty, university leadership, healthcare organizations, government agencies, schools, community partners, and funding organizations to advance COACH initiatives.  
  • Oversee branding, website content, newsletters, social media, promotional campaigns, and dissemination of educational and research-related activities. 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree- no specific discipline.
  • 5 years of experience in project or program management to include identifying funding sources and completing successful grant proposals, post award management to include contracts and grants accounting, establishing collaborative relationships and coordinating complex projects with various stakeholders and participants to include event planning, and/or writing publications and presentations.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Master's degree desired.
  • Experience with public health, substance use disorder, health policy, health sciences is desired.
