Wiring Data Engineer
The Bell AH-1Z Viper and UH-1Y Venom make up the US Marine Corps’ Light Attack Helicopter fleet, providing a vast array of mission critical capabilities to Marines and their allies. The Bell H-1 Program is working numerous engineering projects to increase the lethality and lifespan of the Viper and Venom. What you’ll be doing as a Wiring Data Engineer
Develop aircraft wiring architecture, diagrams and schematics using Mentor Graphics Capital Harness Systems (CHS) toolset.
Release wiring documentation in coordination with aircraft systems engineers and wire routing and installation design engineers
Support wiring supplier management, aircraft build installation, aircraft testing and operations, and aircraft/system qualification and certification.
Develop the aircraft wiring architecture inclusive of conventional wiring, data bus cable assemblies (power, coax, fiber optic), junction boxes and panel assemblies.
Work across product teams to develop system requirements, architecture, and interfaces for the aircraft wiring systems to integrate aircraft systems and manage databus and power requirements
Support wiring supplier management, aircraft build installation, aircraft testing and operations, as well aircraft/system qualification and certification
Skills You Bring To this Role
Experience creating, reviewing, and releasing wiring diagrams using wiring design toolsets, such as Siemens Capital
Familiarity with military certification and industry standards and multiple data protocols.
Knowledge of multiple aircraft electrical interface types to include analog signals, RF, and serial data
Experience creating system architecture diagrams and wiring schematics.
Experience with creation of system specifications, requirements traceability, and verification. Preferred experience with Enovia, DOORS, and Serena Dimensions.
Experience with system development, aircraft installation, functional testing and troubleshooting, and testing in a systems integration lab.
Ability to collaborate across functional teams, prioritize work, and build and maintain effective relationships with customers and suppliers.
Candidates must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.
What you need to be successful
We are looking for inquisitive and driven engineers with a passion to innovate.
Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology (or closely related field) is required.
Advanced degrees will be considered as additional experience.
At least 2 years of experience in Aerospace wiring design
