Position Summary
The Learning Skills Center Part-Time Office Assistant provides front desk and administrative support for the Learning Skills Center. This position serves as a primary point of contact for students, faculty, staff, and visitors, helping to create a welcoming environment while supporting the daily operations and programs of the Student Success Department.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
· Welcome and assist students, faculty, staff, and visitors in a professional and courteous manner.
· Answer and direct telephone calls, respond to general inquiries, and schedule or refer students to appropriate staff members and services.
· Perform general office tasks, including filing, shredding documents, copying, scanning, and maintaining organized records.
· Collect, sort, and distribute departmental mail and deliveries.
· Prepare and send emails, faxes, and other correspondence as needed.
· Assist with planning, preparation, and registration activities for departmental workshops, events, and programs.
· Represent the Student Success Department at campus outreach and tabling events.
· Maintain a clean, organized, and professional office environment.
· Provide support for special projects and perform other administrative and clerical duties as assigned.

· Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams).

· Ability to learn new office technologies and procedures quickly.
