About this role

Weighbridge & Transport Allocations Officer

Full Time | Transport & Infrastructure | Rosehill, NSW

The Opportunity:

We're looking for an organised, proactive, and customer-focused Weighbridge & Transport Allocations Officer to join our team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and can confidently manage multiple priorities at once. Whether you're currently working in transport and logistics or come from an administration, scheduling, customer service, or operations background, we'd love to hear from you.

As our Weighbridge & Transport Allocations Officer, you'll play a critical role in coordinating transport movements, processing vehicle transactions through the weighbridge, and supporting the day-to-day flow of operations. You'll work closely with drivers, customers, subcontractors, and operational teams to ensure deliveries are completed safely, efficiently, and on time.

No two days are the same, and full training will be provided to help set you up for success.

Key Responsibilities:

•    Coordinate daily transport allocations and scheduling activities
•    Process vehicle movements accurately through the weighbridge
•    Liaise with drivers, customers, subcontractors, and site teams
•    Maintain accurate transport, load, and operational records
•    Monitor delivery schedules and respond to operational changes
•    Ensure transport activities comply with Chain of Responsibility (CoR) requirements
•    Support a strong safety culture across transport operations
•    Provide high levels of customer service while balancing operational priorities

About You:

We're open to candidates from a wide range of backgrounds. Industry experience is advantageous but not essential. What's most important is your attitude, organisational skills, and ability to perform under pressure.

You'll be someone who:

•    Thrives in a busy, high-volume environment
•    Stays calm and focused when priorities change
•    Has exceptional organisational and administration skills
•    Thinks practically and takes a pragmatic approach to problem-solving
•    Communicates confidently with a variety of stakeholders
•    Can manage competing priorities and tight deadlines
•    Enjoys working as part of a team
•    Has a positive attitude and willingness to learn
•    Is comfortable using computer systems and learning new processes

Full training will be provided, making this an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a career in transport, logistics, and operations.

What's on Offer:

•    Full training and ongoing support
•    Opportunity to develop a career in logistics and transport operations
•    Stable, full-time position with an industry leader
•    Supportive and collaborative team environment
•    Diverse and fast-paced role where no two days are the same
•    Employee benefits and discounts across the Downer Group
•    Career development opportunities within one of Australia's leading infrastructure businesses
