ORGANIZATIONAL CONTEXT
The Delivery Driver I sits within Operations and supports delivery execution for oilfield and industrial chemicals. The role is dispatched from a DK Energy Services location and performs day-trip deliveries within the assigned District.
This role is responsible for safe vehicle operation, chemical handling, pumping operations, delivery documentation, DOT compliance, customer interaction, vehicle/equipment readiness, and adherence to DK safety, quality, and environmental expectations.

ROLE SUMMARY
The Delivery Driver I operates medium-to-heavy-duty trucks for transportation, safe handling, and delivery of oilfield and industrial chemicals while adhering to DOT and company safety regulations.
This is an entry-level driver role working under close supervision and reporting to either a Driver Manager or Site Manager.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Delivery Execution & Customer Interaction
- Complete on-time daily trips to specified locations.
- Transport, safely handle, and deliver oilfield and industrial chemicals.
- Interact with management and customers in a professional manner.
- Occasional weekend work and overtime may be required.
Chemical Handling, Pumping & Delivery Accuracy
- Read sight glass level indicators and record delivered quantities.
- Operate pumps with hoses, risers, and valves.
- Operate and troubleshoot pump and hydraulic systems.
- Load, unload, and operate forklift and pumping equipment as required.
Documentation, DOT & Load Compliance
- Complete clear documentation of all paperwork, including Field Delivery Tickets and TDG Manifests.
- Complete inspection reports, including pre-job hazard assessment forms, pre-trip inspection logs, and en-route logbooks.
- Generate bills of lading to match daily loads and ensure placarding matches.
- Follow DOT and company regulations for safe operation.
Vehicle, Equipment & Housekeeping
- Ensure routine maintenance of pumps and inspection of hoses.
- Support routine vehicle maintenance and housekeeping.
- Maintain equipment readiness and identify issues requiring repair or escalation.
- Maintain pipeline certification as applicable.
Safety, Quality, RCMS & Other Support
- Demonstrate commitment to safety, environmental, and industrial hygiene practices.
- Maintain outstanding safety performance and consistent environmental compliance.
- Support certified management systems such as ISO 9001 and promote awareness of risks and opportunities associated with the work.
- Support RCMS implementation and promote awareness of RCMS guiding principles and Dorf Ketal’s HSSE policy, objectives, and goals.
- Support other projects as required.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
CORE QUALIFICATIONS
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
Experience
- CDL Class A/B with Hazmat endorsement and tanker endorsement.
- Entry-level role; related driving or chemical handling experience preferred where applicable.
Technical Skills
- CDL Class A/B with Hazmat endorsement and tanker endorsement.
- Forklift certified and pipeline certification.
- Clean driving record and knowledge of DOT regulations.
- Basic mechanical skills and ability to operate or troubleshoot pumps, hoses, risers, valves, pump systems, hydraulic systems, forklift, and pumping equipment.
- Physically capable of loading and unloading goods up to 50 pounds and working in extreme weather conditions.
- Experience with acid and hazardous material handling.
