About this role

We are seeking a student that would like to work as a Document Controller in our Project Administration section located at Høvik, Norway. We are a part of the Precontract and PMA Department within Ship Classification. We work very closely with the Pre-contract team and the PMA`s. You will be part of our cross-border team of highly qualified colleagues, who are responsible for digital distribution of technical drawings within the maritime approval organization. We are responsible for distributing technical documentation and alteration orders to the organization. We also provide administrative services for the Pre-contract team and guide our customers in using our customer portal

Typical tasks as a Document Controller in Ship Classification would be:
As a part of our team you will be involved in our main deliveries and responsibilities, such as:
•    Support and assist the project management team, approval experts and our customers
•    Perform administrative evaluation of technical documentation received from the customer
•    Identify technical disciplines, multidiscipline content, and check if the received documentation is within the agreed scope.
•    Check that document quality corresponds with the DNV Maritime Production Platform which is constantly under development
•    Distribute evaluated technical documents within global DNV organization
•    Cooperate and communicate with multicultural cross-border teams

Qualifications

  • Good communication skills in English. Knowledge of Norwegian is a preference.
  • Technical interest within materials technology, corrosion or mechanical engineering.
