About this role

Help us hire the people building a quantum computer that works at scale.

We're looking for a Talent Acquisition Specialist to help us attract and hire researchers, engineers and commercial talent as we grow. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys solving hiring problems, finding people in tough markets, and working closely with leaders to build stronger teams.

Things move quickly at Diraq. Priorities can shift, new skill gaps emerge, and the brief you're working on today might change tomorrow. You'll be at your best if you're comfortable with ambiguity, enjoy figuring things out as you go, and can bring clarity when the answer isn't obvious.

  • A few years' experience managing recruitment processes end to end
  • Strong sourcing capability and a proactive approach to finding talent
  • Excellent attention to detail and a high standard of accuracy
  • Comfortable working in a fast-moving environment where priorities can change
  • Able to build trusted relationships with hiring managers and stakeholders
  • Confident asking questions, challenging assumptions and getting to the root of a hiring need
  • Strong lateral thinking skills and the ability to look beyond traditional talent pools
  • Ability to identify transferable skills and adjacent industries when the obvious candidate market is limited
  • Comfortable partnering with technical leaders to understand capability gaps and translate them into effective hiring strategies
  • Experience recruiting technical, scientific or engineering talent is helpful but not essential
  • Manage recruitment processes from initial briefing through to offer acceptance
  • Partner with hiring managers to understand team needs and identify capability gaps
  • Source and engage candidates for specialist and hard-to-fill roles
  • Work closely with technical leaders to understand the skills required for a role, not just the job title
  • Identify alternative talent pools, industries and backgrounds that may have closely aligned skills and experience
  • Coach and support hiring managers through interviewing, assessment and hiring decisions
  • Ensure recruitment processes, candidate records and communications are accurate and well managed
  • Deliver a positive candidate experience from first contact through to final outcome
  • Share market insights and talent trends to help inform hiring decisions
  • Be part of a world-class quantum computing company solving problems at the frontier of science and engineering.
  • Work from our central Sydney CBD office, designed to support collaboration and focus.
  • Full disclosure: our benefit offerings are largely non-financial due to our company stage. Upon eligibility, you would be invited to participate in our Employee Incentive Program.
  • Join a supportive, smart, and driven team where your contribution genuinely matters.
  • Grow with the business—this role offers exposure, learning, and future career pathways as Diraq scales.
