About this role

We are looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer with 5+ years of experience to own mechanical subsystems end-to-end for Dexmate's next-generation robotic platform. You should be a production-driven engineer who has taken designs from concept through CAD, prototyping, supplier qualification, and production release — not just someone who stops at the prototype stage. Experience in consumer electronics, automotive, industrial automation, medical devices, or complex electromechanical products is welcome; robotics-specific experience is a plus but not required. You'll play a critical role at a small, fast-moving team where end-to-end ownership and hands-on execution are essential.

What will you be doing?

Own the full design cycle of mechanical subsystems — from concept and requirements through CAD, prototyping, supplier qualification, first-article inspection, and production release

Drive DFM/DFA from day one, working with suppliers and contract manufacturers to ensure designs transition smoothly from lab to volume production

Collaborate cross-functionally with electrical, firmware, and controls engineers on electromechanical integration

Manage vendor relationships and supply chain interactions for hardware components

Conduct structured validation testing, root cause analysis on failures, and drive corrective actions through to closure
