Description
We are looking for an experienced iOS Principal Engineer with a strong technical background and expertise in building high-performance video streaming applications for iOS Mobile and Apple TV platforms. As a technical leader, you will take ownership of designing and developing scalable, user-centric applications while mentoring team members and driving technical excellence.
This role requires a deep understanding of iOS frameworks, exceptional coding skills, and hands-on experience with video streaming technologies. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver seamless and engaging video experiences to users. You will lead cutting-edge projects and shape the technical roadmap for iOS development.

What you'll be doing:
1. Design & Development
- Architect and develop advanced video streaming applications for iOS Mobile and Apple TV platforms.
- Write clean, modular, and maintainable code in Swift, following best practices.
- Optimize app performance for responsiveness, scalability, and resource efficiency.
2. Technical Leadership
- Lead the design and implementation of complex features, ensuring technical feasibility and alignment with project goals.
- Conduct code reviews to ensure best practices in coding, architecture, and security.
- Stay updated with the latest iOS technologies and video streaming advancements, integrating them into projects where applicable.
3. Collaboration
- Work closely with product managers, designers, and backend teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Collaborate with QA to ensure that delivered features meet functional and non-functional requirements.
4. Video Streaming Expertise
- Implement and optimize video streaming technologies such as HLS, DASH, and DRM.
- Integrate and customize video playback frameworks like AVFoundation and third-party players.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to playback, buffering, and content delivery.
5. Mentorship & Knowledge Sharing
- Mentor junior and mid-level engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement.
- Conduct knowledge-sharing sessions and workshops to elevate the team’s technical skills.
6. Release Management
- Collaborate on release planning and ensure smooth deployment cycles.
- Support the team during critical deadlines, providing solutions to unblock progress
