Job Summary

The Government Property Administrator, located in Menomonee Falls, WI, is responsible for managing and maintaining accountability for all Government- and Customer-owned property within DRS. This role ensures compliance with Government, customer, and company requirements through accurate property tracking, inventory control, audit readiness, shipping oversight, contract closeout support, reporting, and coordination with DCMA, program teams, and external customers.

What You'll Do

  • Government Property Accountability and Systems: Manages all Government- and Customer-owned property within DRS to ensure continual accountability; maintains property accountability records; ensures CostPoint sales orders and projects are established for all Government-Furnished Equipment (GFE) and Customer-Acquired Property (CAP), including appropriate CAP inventory abbreviations; and maintains property records in applicable electronic systems, including Air Force and Army CAVs and Lockheed Martin ADIS.
  • Property Receipt, Documentation, and Coordination: Ensures Government- and Customer-owned property is entered into the appropriate tracking system and that incoming documentation is filed; notifies the Stockroom Government Property Coordinator of all inbound Government Property to ensure positive material receipt, including test equipment, fixtures, and program-specific GFE/CAP not intended for CostPoint receipt.
  • Program, Material, and Transaction Control: Maintains accountability for requisitioned parts and ensures material is used only in support of the appropriate program; enters required transactions in applicable tracking systems; investigates, resolves, and reports property-tracking anomalies; and supports identification and segregation of Cost-Plus material from Firm Fixed Price inventory during project setup.
  • Government, Customer, and Internal Stakeholder Liaison: Serves as the primary point of contact for Government Property matters with DCMA, customers, PMO, and program Integrated Product Team Contracts Administration representatives; manages communications related to inbound and outbound Government Property; and coordinates contract modifications affecting program Government Property requirements.
  • Contract Closeout, Shipping, and Disposition: Partners with Contracts to support Government contract closeout and ensure property is transferred or dispositioned appropriately; verifies Government shippers have required shipment authority and confirmations; manages Scrap and Excess Inventory within PCARSS; and ensures Plant Clearance Officer instructions are followed throughout the disposition process, including munitions-part demolition or disassembly when required.
  • Audits, Inventories, Reporting, and Compliance: Leads Government Property inventories and audits, including DCMA audits and annual requests; schedules sampling inventories and reports completed results to DCMA and Program Customers; conducts internal audits to support Government and company audit readiness; prepares requested reports for the Government, customers, and DRS personnel; and prepares and presents metrics as required.
  • Training and Organizational Support: Creates, delivers, and maintains training records related to the proper handling of Government Property Equipment; represents the organization with internal and external personnel; reviews statements, records, and reports prepared by lower-level personnel as needed.

Education & Experience Requirements

  • Associate’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must be familiar with federal acquisition regulations (FAR, DFAR) and government reporting.
  • Must have the ability to present information and respond to questions from management or the government.
  • Must have adequate computer skills including MS applications.
  • Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
