Purpose

At DASI, the Lead Outbound Inspector – Level 4 is responsible for ensuring that all outgoing material (and the related paperwork) meets the customer requirements and quality inspection standards in accordance to DASI’s Quality Management System (QMS).

Key accountabilities

Perform inspections, checks, and sample procedures of outgoing Expendable and Rotable parts and components used in the aviation industry.
Perform review of physical attributes, quantity, and records for release.
Accurately document the results of the inspections and testing.
Assist with organizing workflow and ensuring that employees understand their duties or delegated tasks.
Inspect and identify material and related documentation as prescribed by the purchase order/sales order or contract specifications highlighting any non-conformance or omission.
Responsible for ensuring that outgoing shipments are adequately packaged, preserved, and meet DASI quality requirements.
Operate forklifts as required to retrieve material from storage racks that have either been sold or to store material that will be sold in the future.
Comply with ESD (electrostatic discharge) requirements when either shipping or receiving ESD material.
Enter, verify, and validate the accuracy of data input into the DASI database.
Process material returned by customers (RMA) for non-conformances and notify inside sales personnel accordingly.
Process pick tickets for pending sales orders noting any discrepancies identified.
Issue DASI material certifications as required.
Work with Quality Assurance department in continuous improvement projects.
Perform all other duties as assigned.

Experience and qualifications

High School Graduate or GED- Required.
Minimum 2 years Aviation Parts experience is required, particularly processing AOGs.
Experience with sales and repair orders.
Experience leading a team.
Minimum 2 years job related experience is preferred.
ISO and/or AS Quality Standard knowledge- a Plus
Computer literate.
Demonstrate a professional style.
