Job Summary:

Responsible for assisting all Distribution Business customers, technicians, and other parts personnel in securing needed parts and supplies under moderate or direct supervision.

We are looking for a talented Service Parts Associate to join our Distribution business in (San Leandro, CA).

Will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Assist customers, technicians, and internal teams with identifying and ordering the correct parts and supplies.
  • Process parts orders, customer transactions, shipping, receiving, and inventory activities.
  • Utilize parts catalogs, systems, and technical resources to source parts efficiently and accurately.
  • Maintain strong customer relationships by providing timely support and identifying upsell opportunities when appropriate.
  • Support inventory accuracy, warehouse organization, and compliance with Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental policies.

Responsibilities

In order to be successful in this role you will need the following:

  • Experience in parts sales, customer service, warehouse operations, or inventory management.
  • Ability to identify, source, and process parts orders using catalogs and business systems.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills with the ability to resolve issues effectively.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and computer-based inventory/order management systems.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Experience supporting heavy-duty, automotive, industrial, or equipment parts operations is preferred.

     

Qualifications

Responsible for assisting Distribution Business customers, technicians, and parts personnel in securing needed parts and supplies. Supports receiving, stocking, order fulfillment, inventory accuracy, and customer service while maintaining a safe and organized work environment.
Education, Licenses, Certifications: 
High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.
Proficiency in Microsoft applications, generating reports, and advanced level computer skills. 
This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations. 

Experience: 
Requires some work experience or intermediate level of knowledge obtained through education, training, or on-the-job experience.
 

Compensation and Benefits 

 

Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
