About this role
We are looking for a talented EIA Leader to join our team specializing in EPC projects for BOP (Balance of Plant) emergency power generation plants, based in San Fernando de Henares (Spain), Sandwich (UK), or Rumst (Belgium).
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
- Develop and grow technically capable teams across sites, ensuring the right expertise is available to meet business and project needs.
- Lead resolution of complex, ambiguous electrical , instrumentation and automation system-level problems with significant business impact.
- Drive consistent, high-quality product development execution across the full lifecycle, aligning requirements, design, validation, and delivery.
- Establish and continuously improve engineering processes, systems, and best practices across functions or business units.
- Coach and mentor engineers, strengthening technical depth, problem-solving capability, and career development pathways.
- Enable data-driven, high-quality decisions by managing resources, priorities, risks, and trade-offs across multiple projects.
- Influence cross-functional stakeholders and build strong internal networks to align on technical direction and outcomes.
- Foster a culture of innovation, inclusion, and continuous improvement while ensuring accountability to performance standards.
Responsibilities
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
- Multidisciplinary technical coordination — More than 15 years leading engineering teams in complex industrial projects, managing resources, priorities and deliverables, and ensuring seamless integration across control, instrumentation, electrical, process and construction disciplines.
- Extensive experience in electrical and instrumentation — Broad background in the design, specification, procurement and follow‑up of electrical and instrumentation equipment, including data sheets, technical criteria, bid evaluations and vendor documentation review.
- Specialization in control loops and systems — Strong experience in industrial automation, development of logic diagrams, definition of control system architectures, FAT/SAT execution and direct support to commissioning, providing a full life‑cycle view of the system.
- Digital integration and Industry 4.0 projects — Significant involvement in digitalization initiatives, smart‑plant development and advanced analytics, leading projects that combine traditional engineering with data integration, advanced automation and intelligent systems.
- Management of engineering documentation and processes — Solid track record in preparing, reviewing and ensuring traceability of specifications, procedures, data sheets and technical documentation, guaranteeing consistency, quality and regulatory compliance across all project phases.
- Leadership in construction and commissioning — Extensive experience supporting construction and commissioning activities in international projects, coordinating contractors, resolving field issues and ensuring proper integration of electrical, control and instrumentation systems.
Qualifications
Education/ Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or relevant STEM field (required); postgraduate degree may be beneficial for some roles.
- Demonstrated experience leading technical projects or teams (directly or indirectly) in engineering, product, or technology environments.
- Proven track record in technical problem solving, delivering results, and influencing outcomes.
- Experience providing technical direction, resolving conflicts, and guiding teams through complex challenges.
May require compliance-related licensing depending on export control or regulatory requirements.
