Advanced Practice Provider (APP) (PA/NP/APRN) Pediatrics | Section of Cardiology -- Instructor Clinical Practice

Job Summary:

Pediatric Cardiology Instructor of Clinical Practice position (full-time, 100%25 appointment) within the Department of Pediatrics, Section of Cardiology.

Key Responsibilities:

·         APP coverage of all Heart Transplant patients, both inpatient and outpatient. Patient care responsibilities conducted in both inpatient and outpatient settings.

·         Exercise independent decision-making related to clinical management of patient population, as well as provide comprehensive case management for a group of primary patients.

·         Exercise leadership in managing plan of care including current and ongoing needs for patients in all phases of heart transplant process.

·         Assume on-call responsibilities (during work hours and off work hours) for heart transplant team.

Work Location:

Onsite – this role is expected to work onsite and is located in Aurora, Colorado.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.

·         Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Masters’ degree or higher, appropriate to the program

·         Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner, Certified Family Nurse Practitioner, Certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Certified

·         Acute Care Certification (NP only)

·         Current Advanced Provider Colorado License

·         Current Certifications in Basic Life Support and Pediatric Advanced Life Support

·         Minimum 3 Years’ Experience in Pediatric Healthcare

·         Prescriptive authority or eligible for certification.

Condition of Employment:

·         Must successfully pass a drug test through Children’s Hospital Colorado

·         Must be willing and able to pass a national criminal background check

Preferred Qualifications:

●        Experience in Pediatric Cardiac Care, Pediatric Heart Transplantation, and/or Pediatric Critical Care

Anticipated Pay Range:

The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as HIRING RANGE: $111,000 to $135,000
