About this role

POSITION SUMMARY:

Performs the role of data entry and operator, performs the processing of Outgoing and Incoming wire transfers, which include Fed wires and SWIFT messages. Ensures the accuracy of each wire transaction is entered and submitted before daily deadlines. Responds and coordinates with Branches/Departments on the requests received. Conducts and fulfills research requests.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Area #1 (60%)

  • Implement the operation of daily Outgoing and/or Incoming wire transfers, return wires, service messages.
  • Includes validating proper wire authority for outgoing wires
  • Includes wire entry and modification
  • Maintains wire transfer logs and branch/department reconciliation.

Area #2 (20%)

  •  Fulfilling record research, filing documents and record retention

Area #3 (10%)

  • Update clients contact information for wire confirmations and distribute confirmation notices as necessary

Area #4 (10%)

  • Assist in handling all inquiries and wire investigations

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Successfully complete all mandatory training on related Bank and BSA compliance as well as other laws and regulations as assigned in a timely manner.
  • Perform all assigned duties under Bank’s compliance programs and related laws & regulations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

 

Education, Experience and Skills Required:

  • High School diploma or equivalent with anticipation of continuing education towards degree
  • Basic PC skills
  • Wire transfer experience or banking environment experience a major plus
  • Must be able to type 40+ wpm, work efficiently and accurately while meeting established deadlines. 
  • Good communication, telephone, and interpersonal skills
  • Fluent in English and Chinese (mandarin preferred) a major plus.


PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Minimum mobility to work in an office setting; sit for prolonged period of times; operate office equipment including use of a computer keyboard; and reach with hands and arms. Employees are occasionally required to walk and stand and lift and move records and documents weighing 30 pounds or less. 

COMMUNICATION DEMANDS:

  • Attention to detail, strong organizational, communication, interpersonal, self-motivated, and analytical skills, ability to interact with all levels of management and staff.

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Standard office environment. Noise level in work environment is usually average. Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.

COMPENSATION

  • The base pay range for this position is USD $20/Hr. - USD $23/Hr plus full benefits. Exact offer will be determined based on job-related knowleddge, skills, experience, and location
