INTRO
The Investor Services Specialist supports transfer agency operations by accurately processing investor transactions and maintaining high-quality shareholder records. This role focuses on timely execution of capital events and investor data updates in line with fund documentation, internal controls, and regulatory requirements. The role also involves ensuring investors are AML compliant. You will partner with internal stakeholders and external clients to ensure service levels are met and communications are handled professionally. The position is well-suited to someone with transfer agency experience, strong attention to detail, and a client-focused mindset.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Process investor transactions (e.g. capital events) in accordance with fund documentation and CSC procedures
- Follow established investor servicing controls, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and on-time delivery against daily deadlines
- Complete investor onboarding, including AML/KYC steps and investor eligibility checks in line with regulatory and fund guidelines
- Maintain accurate investor and account data within the transfer agency (TA) system and supporting documentation repositories
- Produce accurate and timely system outputs to support client deliverables and reporting requirements
- Draft and manage investor/client correspondence, including monitoring and responding via multiple shared mailboxes
- Input and monitor investor wire payments, including cash application and tracking of incoming funds
- Capture and maintain investor tax-related data (e.g., FATCA and CRS) to support reporting and compliance obligations
- Build strong working relationships with external clients and internal CSC teams to support service delivery and issue resolution
- Support projects and ad hoc operational tasks, including process improvements and control enhancements
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 3–5 years of experience in transfer agency / investor services within funds or financial services operations
- Working knowledge of AML/KYC requirements and investor onboarding controls
- Experience using transfer agency systems and maintaining high-quality investor static data
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify issues, investigate root causes, and escalate appropriately
- Proven ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and meet strict cut-off times and deadlines
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; fluency in English is required
- Proficiency with PCs and common business applications (e.g., spreadsheets, email, document management tools)
- Collaborative, adaptable team contributor with a clear sense of ownership and accountability
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience supporting fund administration and client reporting deliverables in a transfer agency environment
- Familiarity with AML data collection and operational processing
- Experience handling investor cash processing workflows, including wire monitoring and cash reconciliation support
- Experience supporting mailbox management and high-volume client correspondence in a regulated environment
