About this role
GENERAL SUMMARY: Load and unload paint lines, mask ports, caulk, count parts, clean area, maintain safe environment.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain material flow within job assignment and as directed by supervisor.
- Assist areas with masking, loading/unloading lines, caulking, wipe down, etc. as needed.
- Operate material handling equipment as needed.
- Maintain quality, safety and efficiency.
- Maintain a neat and clean work area.
- Report labor and job data accurately.
- Perform other jobs within the department or plant as required by supervision.
SKILLS
A good command of the English language is required, both written and spoken. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are required.
EDUCATION
High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Complete Company forklift training if applicable.
WORK EXPERIENCE
Prior experience in a manufacturing environment is beneficial.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Must be able to physically perform essential functions of the job. Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. and occasionally up to 100 lbs. Typically requires standing, walking, stooping, crouching and kneeling on a regular basis; reaching and handling frequently and climbing, balancing and crawling occasionally. Specific vision requirements include depth perception and color vision.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Regularly exposed to noise and chemicals. Typically requires the use of a pallet jack. Hearing protection, safety glasses, steel-toed shoes with metatarsal protection, and gloves are required.
