About this role

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/ MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Accountable to Quality Control & Final Test department deliverables.

  2. Provide work leadership to other individuals in the department; coordinate and direct routine department activities across multiple shifts.

  3. Oversee dimensional inspection of machined components using various measuring equipment such as but not limited to micrometers, calipers, VMM and CMM.

  4. Manage functional testing of completed assemblies for performance, customer requirements (Form, Fit, Function), and quality standards.

  5. Responsible in assuring that appropriate measures are in place which have a direct impact on the Health and Safety of the employees and protection of the environment.

  6. Coordinate, establish and analyze quality control & test reports and recommend immediate resolutions to address quality defects.

  7. Ensure that improvements are put in place to limit queue time to reduce overall Production cycle time

  8. Develop and execute development plans for the team members.

  9. Collaborate with various Internal departments (e.g. SCM, MFE, Manufacturing, Planning) to support customer needs, issue resolution and meet Operational objectives.

  10. Propose strategy that will be essential in supporting corporate goals and company annual plan.

  11. Assist in annual budget preparation and implementation of cost-effective measures to reduce operating expenditures, improve workforce efficiency, improve manufacturing yield and other related overhead costs.

  12. Drive the team for continuous improvement efforts and systemic actions to improve our manufacturing quality, efficiency, cycle time and cost.

  13. Engagement and coaching of the team to achieve quality requirements.

  14. Manage standardization and enhancement of processes.

  15. Administer the company’s Quality policy according to corporate standards.

  16. Other duties as required

 

QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or related degree in engineering discipline.

Experience:

Minimum of 10 years in manufacturing or quality control, with at least >5 years at the managerial level manufacturing or quality environment preferably in the semiconductor and/or electronic industries.

Skill/ Technical Requirements:

Deep knowledge of manufacturing and test processes.

Knowledge in GD&T

Experience in various measuring instruments such as CMM & VMM.

Proficiency in statistical process control (SPC) to monitor machining trends

Problem-solving mindset for quick fixes & preventive actions.

Familiar with ISO 9001 as well as appropriate statistical tools.

Ability to engage and lead the team to meet team and company set goals.

Ability to independently anticipate, prioritize and manage multiple priorities.
