Why This Role Matters

As an Education Specialist – Center Based, you serve as an instructional leader supporting the quality of teaching and learning in Head Start classrooms. Through coaching, training, and data‑informed guidance, you help teachers deliver developmentally appropriate, engaging, and effective early childhood experiences.

This role goes beyond oversight — it is about building educator capacity, strengthening classroom environments, and ensuring children receive the strong educational foundation they deserve while supporting families through meaningful engagement and transitions.

What You’ll Do

  • Provide instructional coaching, mentoring, and professional development to teaching staff to strengthen classroom practices.
  • Monitor classroom quality through observations, lesson plan reviews, and CLASS assessments to support continuous improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with Head Start Performance Standards, licensing, and CCG educational guidelines.
  • Analyze child assessment data to inform instruction, training, and program decisions.
  • Collaborate with center leadership to support staff development, family engagement, and overall program quality.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field with required early childhood coursework.
  • At least three years of teaching experience in early childhood settings; supervisory experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of early childhood development, instructional practices, and assessment tools such as CLASS.
  • Experience coaching, training, or supporting adult learners in education settings.
  • A collaborative, mission‑aligned approach with a commitment to quality, inclusion, and supporting children, families, and educators.
