About this role
We are looking for a dynamic Trade Activation Specialist, Scandinavia to drive CHANEL Fragrance & Beauty’s visibility, brand experience and commercial impact across Denmark, Norway and Sweden.
This 12-month maternity cover (ideally mid-November 2026 to mid-November 2027) combines digital and physical retail activation, including e-wholesalers and e-commerce platforms. You will translate global strategies into impactful retailer plans and campaigns, leading best-in-class online and in-store execution in close collaboration with internal teams and retail partners.
The role includes e-merchandising, retail activations, POSM management and performance optimization, while ensuring full alignment with CHANEL brand guidelines.
This is a full-time position based in Copenhagen, with regular travel across Scandinavia.
Key Responsibilities
Trade Marketing Strategy & Execution
Translate global CHANEL strategies into retailer-specific trade marketing plans for Scandinavia, aligned with launches, campaigns and key commercial moments.
Lead the execution of Fragrance & Beauty trade plans across key retail partners, both in-store and online.
Identify opportunities to enhance visibility, premium brand expression and consumer experience, informed by market trends, competitor activity and retailer performance.
Build strong partnerships with retailers and distributors, developing joint marketing and visibility initiatives.
Ensure flawless in-store execution through regular field visits, activity audits and brand-standard monitoring.
Manage trade marketing budgets and coordinate planning with Sales, Product Management, Supply, Digital and Visual Merchandising teams.
Lead the development and production of in-store animation and POS materials, from briefing to delivery, in collaboration with internal teams and local suppliers.
E-Merchandising & Online Visibility
Drive best-in-class e-merchandising across retailer platforms, ensuring a premium and consistent CHANEL online experience.
Manage and optimize brand pages and product launches in line with CHANEL guidelines.
Identify and address execution gaps and optimization opportunities, balancing commercial performance with brand standards.
Challenge and support retail partners to continuously improve the quality, consistency and visibility of CHANEL’s online presence.
Performance & Insights
Monitor campaign, launch and activation performance using relevant KPIs.
Turn data and insights into clear recommendations for future optimisations.
Share learnings and performance updates with local, regional and global CHANEL teams.
Who Are We Looking For?
Higher education degree and at least 3 years’ experience in trade marketing or a similar role. Experience in e-commerce, luxury and/or Fragrance & Beauty is a strong advantage.
Strong project-management, organizational, communication and negotiation skills.
Commercially minded, with strong analytical skills and a solid understanding of marketing and sales principles.
Able to work independently, prioritize and take ownership.
Comfortably challenging the status quo and engaging stakeholders constructively to achieve the best outcome.
Excellent presentation and stakeholder-management skills, across local and global teams.
Fluent in English; French and/or a Scandinavian language is an advantage.
Based in Copenhagen, with regular travel across Scandinavia required.
