Job Summary:

The Tennis Pro will perform a variety of tasks in a tennis or pickleball instruction setting including recreation activities, tennis and pickleball. 


Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • None.


Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Plans and leads activities in the specific fields of tennis and pickleball.
  • Enforces racquet sports rules and regulations and proper court etiquette and ensures safety in the facilities.
  • Performs first aid following prescribed procedures and contacts emergency medical personnel when required by the situation.
  • Demonstrates use of racquet sports equipment and teaches participants the principles, techniques, and safety procedures for each activity.
  • Greets all new members and facilitates their integration into the program
  • Assist the Director of Tennis with all social events of the club, including happy hours, tournaments, special events.
  • Performs other related duties as required.


Required Skills/Abilities: 

  • Enthusiastic and positive attitude.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to learn and enforce the club and activities’ safety and operating rules.
  • Must attend staff meetings and orientation.


Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience preferred.
  • Tennis experience required. (must have played at highschool or college level)
  • Must pass reference checks and background screenings, which include fingerprint check and sex offender registry check.


Physical Requirements: 

  • Able to participate in all tennis and pickleball games offered.
  • Able to maintain attention and high level of energy or excitement for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to spend majority the of time outdoors and tolerate a variety of weather conditions.
