Join our Radiation Oncology Clinic as a Medical Assistant and play an integral role in delivering comprehensive, patient-centered care to individuals with a wide range of cancer diagnoses and select non-malignant conditions. You’ll work alongside radiation oncologists, registered nurses, radiation therapists, and other members of a multidisciplinary team supporting patients throughout their treatment journey—from initial consultation and treatment planning through radiation therapy, symptom management, and follow-up care.
 

Responsibilities

What You’ll Do

In this fast-paced, patient-facing role, you will help keep the clinic running efficiently while providing compassionate support to patients and their families. Responsibilities include:

• Room and support approximately 40–60 patients per day in collaboration with the clinical team
• Obtain and document vital signs, patient histories, screenings, and other required clinical information
• Perform medication review and maintain accurate clinical documentation in the electronic medical record
• Draw blood and collect and prepare laboratory specimens in accordance with applicable policies and scope of practice
• Support timely patient flow and coordinate closely with RNs, physicians, radiation therapists, and front-desk staff
• Schedule appointments and assist with follow-up testing, referrals, and other care coordination activities
• Prepare, clean, stock, and maintain exam rooms, equipment, and clinical supplies
• Perform additional clinical and administrative Medical Assistant responsibilities within scope of practice

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program.

Minimum of 1years of Medical Assistant experience.

California Certified Phlebotomy Technician I (CPT1) certification.

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the AHA or ARC.
