The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Platform Engineer with deep expertise in designing, deploying, and managing scalable cloud infrastructure across Azure and AWS. In this critical role, you will build and evolve the secure, resilient, and cost-efficient platforms that power our AI-driven applications, services, and machine learning solutions. You'll be instrumental in shaping our cloud strategy, driving operational excellence, and optimizing infrastructure performance and spend at scale.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Enhance and evolve our observability capabilities across Azure, AWS, and application environments, ensuring visibility, performance, and operational insights.
  • Drive consistency, scalability, and operational excellence through platform standards, best practices, and automation.
  • Enable engineering and machine learning teams to effectively build, deploy, and operate solutions on cloud-native platforms and services.
  • Leverage Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD tools, including Terraform, Bicep, and GitHub, to streamline provisioning, deployments, and platform management.
  • Design and maintain secure cloud environments that align with industry best practices and enterprise security standards.
  • Foster a culture of reliability, accountability, and continuous improvement across a federated engineering organization.
  • Partner closely with teams across CCC to deliver scalable solutions, solve complex challenges, and drive cross-functional initiatives.
  • Mentor and guide engineers, sharing technical expertise and helping grow platform engineering capabilities across the organization.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation, supporting the health, availability, and performance of critical applications and infrastructure.


Requirements:

  • 7+ years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), Platform Engineering, or related infrastructure-focused roles.
  • Proven experience designing, deploying, and operating large-scale production systems on Azure and/or AWS.
  • Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure, networking, containerization, CI/CD pipelines, DNS, and modern platform engineering practices.
  • Experience partnering with product engineering teams to build, support, and continuously improve production environments.
  • Hands-on experience integrating and managing security tooling, including SIEM platforms, vulnerability scanners, and cloud security solutions.
  • Ability to translate complex business challenges into scalable technical solutions, while clearly articulating business impact and value.
  • Strong problem-solving mindset with a collaborative, solutions-oriented approach to overcoming technical challenges.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate across technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience implementing and managing monitoring, observability, and telemetry platforms such as Grafana, Prometheus, Datadog, or similar tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve critical production issues in high-pressure situations while maintaining composure and focus.
  • Passion for automation, operational excellence, reliability, and continuous improvement.
  • Comfortable deploying and managing a Kubernetes based environment
  • Comfortable with Helm and ArgoCD deployments
