The Guest Room Attendant is responsible for creating a clean, comfortable, and welcoming environment for all hotel guests. This role cleans and services guest rooms according to established standards, replenishes amenities, ensures room readiness, and supports overall guest satisfaction through attention to detail, efficiency, and professionalism.
Responsibilities
- Clean and service guest rooms according to company procedures and quality standards. Make beds, change linens, replace towels, and restock guest amenities.
- Clean and sanitize bathrooms including tubs, showers, sinks, toilets, floors, and fixtures.
- Dust, vacuum, and clean all room surfaces including furniture, lamps, windows, mirrors, and electronics.
- Remove trash, replace liners, and ensure rooms are free of debris.
- Replenish supplies on housekeeping carts and maintain organized storage areas.
- Report maintenance issues, damaged items, or safety concerns promptly.
- Follow all safety, sanitation, and chemical‑handling procedures.
- Maintain a friendly, professional, and welcoming demeanor with guests and team members.
- Demonstrate knowledge of hotel services, promotions, and amenities to assist guests when needed.
- Perform additional duties or special assignments as required.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred. One year of housekeeping or cleaning experience preferred.
- Ability to read, write, and understand simple instructions.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to maintain professionalism and a positive attitude in all guest interactions.
- Knowledge of cleaning procedures, safety standards, and proper use of cleaning chemicals.
- Ability to obtain and maintain any required state gaming or regulatory licenses.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and move throughout the shift.
- Ability to lift and carry linens, supplies, and equipment as required.
- Ability to work in a high‑rise hotel environment using elevators, stairs, and service corridors.
- Ability to work in areas exposed to varying temperatures, noise, dust, fumes, and cleaning chemicals.
- Ability to work a consistent schedule including weekends and holidays.
- Compliance with all company policies, safety procedures, and regulatory requirements.
