The Chief Operating Office practice brings together professionals focused on operational excellence, business management, governance, execution discipline, and enterprise enablement. The practice helps ensure that teams across BNY are equipped to deliver consistent, efficient, and well-governed outcomes while supporting the broader goals of the Platform Operating Model. It serves as a professional home for colleagues whose work strengthens how the organization operates, executes priorities, manages risk, and drives continuous improvement. By connecting practitioners across teams, the Practice promotes consistency, capability building, and the sharing of best practices.

 

What you will do

  • Support day-to-day activities and strategic initiatives across the Chief Operating Office (COO), helping drive effective execution against business priorities.

  • Collaborate with leadership teams and key stakeholders to prepare briefings, meeting materials, and updates for senior discussions, ensuring information is delivered accurately, completely, and on time.

  • Conduct research and analysis on operational processes, performance metrics, business priorities, and engagement activity to support decision-making and planning.

  • Track action items, risks, milestones, deliverables, and post-meeting follow-up across ongoing projects and leadership initiatives.

  • Monitor and distill insights from COO Office activity, including engagement volume, invitations, forward-looking meeting management, and related workflows.

  • Support the coordination of events, communications, and organizational activities that enable smooth execution across the function.

  • Assist with documenting business procedures, workflows, and governance materials to promote consistency, transparency, and strong execution discipline.

  • Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency through process enhancement, AI adoption, and the use of technology to streamline workflows.

Analyst Program  
Our 24-month rotational Analyst Program is designed to set you up for success from day one. Program eligibility:

  • Enrollment in a 4-year undergraduate degree program with a strong focus on business-related and/or technology-related majors preferred

  • Graduating in Dec 2026 or May 2027 (U.S.)

  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better

  • Does not require sponsorship for employment visa status (now or in the future) in the country where applying.

Base salary offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Base salary is only part of the total rewards package, which may include eligibility for an annual discretionary incentive award. Subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable plans then in effect, eligible employees may enroll in a 401(k) plan as well as participate in Company-sponsored medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance plans for the employee and the employee’s eligible dependents. Eligible employees also may receive other benefits (including various paid time off benefits, such as vacation and sick time), dependent on the position offered.
