  • BluePearl Pet Hospital is hiring for a Manager of Risk and Performance located in our Tampa, Fl office.

The Risk & Performance Manager is responsible for maximizing business performance, partnering with Finance and other critical functions to drive APC growth in conjunction with rigorous cost control across support and field operations. This role will partner to ensure compliance, program alignment and proper communication of initiative goals and expectations. Reporting and creation of compliance strategies in partnership with the field and support leaders will be a key function of the role.

  • Maximize business performance and maintain tight operational cost control utilizing strong, cross-functional partnerships with Ops Finance, Pricing, the Controller team, Legal, and Field Leadership.

  • Through partnership with the Pricing team, operationalize targeted opportunities in the field to drive revenue growth, cost reduction, process efficiency, and APC optimization.

  • Partner with Petcare BCM, MVH Medical Quality, and MVH Digital Technology to ensure enterprise-wide systems compliance with all established operational processes and to successfully mitigate business risk.

  • Oversee and optimize Charge Capture and Fee-for-Service (FFCs) initiatives to prevent revenue leakage and improve billing accuracy across hospitals.

  • Direct and audit Labor Planning processes to ensure alignment with operational demand, efficiency standards, and workforce policy compliance.

  • Ensure strict Program Compliance with organizational standards, operating procedures, and safety guidelines across all supported locations

  • Support and coordinate hospital and regional audit processes in close partnership with the Centralized Audit teams.

  • Develop, test, and maintain comprehensive Business Continuity plans and Risk Avoidance strategies to protect operations from disruption.

  • Oversee safety compliance and coordinate professional licensing tracking to safeguard operational and legal standing.

  • Regularly translate audit findings, compliance metrics, and financial impact reviews into actionable field strategies and performance improvement plans.

  • 20% Travel.

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (BA/BS) in Business Management, Finance, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
  • 5+ years Experience in operations management, financial analysis, multi-unit retail/veterinary management, or asset protection/risk management.

  • 3+ years In-depth experience in safety operations, labor optimization, inventory control, and compliance.

Qualifications:

  • Financial & Analytical Acumen: Proven ability to dissect complex P&L statements, identify margin and cost-saving opportunities, and implement scalable solutions.

  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Exceptional interpersonal and influencing skills, with demonstrated success aligning cross-functional teams (Finance, Legal, IT, Quality, and Field Operations).
