Join Bild AI as a Founding Engineer to redefine how the construction industry handles blueprint reading, cost estimation, and permit applications. As part of a small, early-stage team, you'll leverage the latest computer vision and AI techniques to build product experiences that drive faster, more accurate decision-making from day one.
What youll do
- Build beautiful, intuitive UIs that surface computer vision model outputs for end users.
- Tackle complex geometries, streaming systems, and design sophisticated user interactions.
- Rapidly ship initial prototypes and continuously refine them based on real user feedback.
What Bild AI is looking for
- Demonstrated experience taking products from 0 to 1, preferably with proven traction or paying customers.
- Strong frontend foundation in React and TypeScript coupled with full-stack engineering abilities.
- Solid CS fundamentals; an exceptional project portfolio can stand in for formal education.
- Proficiency in Python and a knack for solving open-ended, math-oriented problems.
- Experience as a founding engineer or early employee at an early-stage startup.
- Commitment to in-person collaboration in San Francisco five days a week.
- Familiarity with construction, real estate, or PDF workflows is a plus.
- Outstanding communication skills defined by empathy and honesty.
- Bonus points for prior founder experience, a construction background, or an impact-driven mindset.
