THE OPPORTUNITY
The AVP, Regional Operations Manager represents the Bank in the community and makes customers feel welcome by providing a superior level of service with their financial transactions. This role is also responsible for promoting the Bank’s services and overseeing compliance and operations within the branch. The AVP, Regional Operations Manager is required to travel between temporary assignments at branch offices within a designated region and is responsible for processing cash and non-cash transactions in accordance with Company policies and procedures while providing superior customer service. Mileage will be paid for travel between assignments. Performs all duties in accordance with the Company’s policies and procedures, all U.S. state and federal laws and regulations, wherein the Company operates.
HOW YOU’LL MAKE A DIFFERENCE
- Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the Bank’s policies.
- Perform and supervise quality control activities.
- Plan and schedule the daily workflow and coordinate with other areas as required to ensure compliance with service standards and regulatory deadlines.
- Ensure high-quality and friendly customer service.
- Resolve customer inquiries, complaints, and situations in a positive, professional, and efficient manner.
- Assist the Regional Administrator with periodic training of staff in required areas.
- Assist the Regional Administrator with the preparation and review of special reports.
- Approve transactions within established guidelines.
- Review and fully comprehend daily reports.
- Assist in conducting audits and achieving satisfactory audit ratings.
- Assist in reviewing monthly certifications for branches.
- Identify and mitigate audit ratings.
- Control expenses.
- Participate in interviewing and hiring decisions.
- Prepare and deliver employee performance evaluations, goal planning, and counseling.
- Manage, support, coach, and train employees based on the needs of the business.
- Effectively run a branch in the absence of branch management or when otherwise needed.
- Follow all established policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties and projects as assigned.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING
- 5 years of branch operations experience with 2 years of supervisory experience required.
- Solid understanding of the operational regulatory environment and thorough knowledge of banking operations required.
- Solid understanding of key branch systems and basic end-user knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel required.
- Detail-oriented and accurate with the ability to organize and prioritize, demonstrate a high degree of flexibility, handle multiple tasks simultaneously, and manage projects and workloads.
- Ability to travel between branch locations, potentially across states, and review and maintain knowledge of departmental and Human Resources policies and procedures.
- Solid skills in managing or guiding others as a floating or interim manager when needed.
- Ability to manage high-quality and friendly client service and adherence to brand standards, identify opportunities to refer new products and services based on clients’ financial goals, and service client needs through completion.
- Ability to establish and maintain internal and external relationships by understanding needs and regularly seeking opportunities to mentor and train other team members.
- Ability to engage others in a friendly and reliable manner, listen for expressed and unexpressed needs, and translate those needs into action.
- Ability to actively seek new challenges and opportunities to expand skills, answer questions without having all information, and work comfortably and successfully in multiple environments.
- Ability to drive results through others, solve problems with minimal direction, and effectively manage multiple concurrent tasks.
- Ability to manage individual risk, begin taking responsibility for the risk of the broader branch, and understand how strategic plans mitigate risk.
- Ability to guide and coach a team as an interim or as-needed manager.
- Associate’s degree or higher preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.

The base salary ultimately offered is determined through a review of education, industry experience, training, knowledge, skills, abilities of the applicant in alignment with market data and other factors.
