This role is a current vacancy , and we are actively seeking a candidate to join the team.

Responsibilities: 
  • Own the technical direction of the process automation portfolio, including architecture, standards, patterns, and technology choices. 
  • Partner with business teams to identify automation opportunities, map processes, and translate them into technical designs and delivery plans.
  • Design and build AWS automation services and workflows using Node.js and/or Python, including event-driven pipelines, scheduled jobs, multi-step workflows, and system integrations.
  • Create solution designs covering architecture, data flows, failure and retry strategies, and rollback plans.
  • Partner with DevOps on deployment, infrastructure as code, environments, secrets, cost control, and production readiness.
  • Champion engineering standards across code quality, testing, observability, error handling, and documentation.
  • Build monitoring and alerting from day one and lead incident response and root cause analysis.
  • Lead and mentor engineers, reviewing designs, removing blockers, and raising the technical bar.
  • Ensure solutions meet security, privacy, audit, and compliance requirements, including PII handling and access control.
  • Maintain runbooks and handover documentation.

Salary: $120,000-$150,000 CAD
