Baylands Golf Links, located in Palo Alto, CA, is pleased to announce an excellent career opportunity for a part-time Greenskeeper! We are seeking a motivated individual who is interested in contributing to a positive experience for our members and guests while continuing to grow their knowledge of golf club operations. As an associate of Troon, you will contribute to a global leader in golf and community management.
The Greenskeeper is a key member of the course maintenance team and is responsible for the landscaping and maintenance around the golf course.
- Must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Must be highly organized, efficient and detail oriented
- Must possess the ability to design, coordinate and maintain landscaping on the golf course
- Must possess the ability to operate all tools and equipment related to golf course maintenance
- Skilled in seeding, fertilizing, mulching and general ground preparation for restoration and renovation
- Must be dependable

Maintains clean and organized work areas on the golf course and maintenance facility

Mows greens, approaches, fairways, rough, tees and other areas

Waters tees, greens and fairways; operates irrigation heads in dry areas needing additional water

Repairs the irrigation system, pipes and irrigation heads as necessary

Grades and prepares soil base, lays sod and seeds greens, tees and fairways

Trims and prunes hedges and shrubbery; cleans flower beds

Applies pesticides and fertilizer to the golf course

Performs related duties as assigned by supervisor or manager
