About this role
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide courteous and professional service at all times.
Stock linen on shelves ,i.e. spreads , blankets, bed pads, bed linen.
Take inventories of amenities and special items.
Receive robes and hang ,blankets spreads, pads and baby linen from linen clerk.
Control rollaway, crib, fridge, bed board and special item inventories.
Stock caddies with amenities for the required day shift.
Ensure that sufficient chemical is set up for shift.
Dispensed water should be emptied daily.
Walk all linen room floors checking for items for storeroom.
Unload supplies from loading dock as requested.
Ensure work area is kept clean , mop and shelves neatly stocked.
Maintain and care for company’s property , preventing waste and breakage as munch as possible.
Follow company’s rules and regulations as stipulated in the Employees hand book.
Attend training and meeting as requested by manager.
Have a sound knowledge of all the hotel facilities and service.
Maintain a high standard of personal appearance and hygiene at all times.
Ensure that all equipment is properly functioning within the department.
Report all malfunction to your manager in a short period of time.
Strive to work in harmony with other workers, assisting them when necessary.
Carry out other reasonable duties as requested by manager.
The Company operates a twenty-four (24) hour, seven (7) days a week business. Therefore, it may be necessary to change the accustomed shifts at times, as the business demands.
Required Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent vocational training.
Minimum 1 year experience as hotel cleaner or in janitorial / cleaning position preferred.
Must be literate with above average verbal communication skills.
Ability to work in a self motivated environment with little supervision.
Ability to manage the administration of multiple tasks at one time.
Drivers License.
