Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Keeps all equipment in good repair with a minimum of downtime by providing day-to-day maintenance under the direction of Engineering Management
Responsible for logging all activities at the end of the shift in the system.
Responsible for start-up and plant operations activities, including equipment and system checkout, inspection for proper installation, and calculation of expected system and equipment operating parameters under temporary start-up conditions.
Serves as a shift lead upon request in the absence of the manager.
Strives to become a subject matter expert with respect to all existing and new mechanical systems.
Enters information into the mechanical tracking system.
Conducts and logs inventory as required.
Orders parts as necessary and logs orders in the tracking system
Conducts inspections of the various mechanical plants and logs/ escalates any problems that require resolution.
Continually supports and improves engineering services that effectively address problems impacting both guests and associates.
Trains and instructs other junior team members, passing along knowledge and skills to assist them in their development and advancement.
Strives to become an independent mechanic, analyzes problems, and formulates plans to get work done quickly with a high degree of quality.
Ensures that the mechanical room, equipment, tools, and vehicles are kept neat and clean at all times.
Responsible for the day-to-day operations and repairs of major mechanical systems throughout the property.
Troubleshoot chiller and boiler plant equipment ascertaining the problem and correcting the same.
Perform tasks assigned encompasses plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and welding skills.
Performs repairs, assessments, and troubleshooting across all buildings, towers, and satellite properties (interior and exterior).
Responsible for the painting, cleaning, and general upkeep of all secured mechanical areas
Communicate with Supervisors to ensure that all needed materials, tools, and supplies are available or on order. Follows up on any items that may be backordered.
Perform other reasonable duties that may be requested from time to time.
The Company operates a twenty-four (24) hour business. Therefore, you will be rostered to work shifts, which may change from time to time.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum: High school diploma or equivalent vocational training
Ability to write routine reports, keep logs, and correspondence
Must have five years of experience in the engineering field
Basic skills in the following areas - Heating systems, ventilation systems, air conditioning systems, chiller/boiler controls, safeties, expansion tanks and make-up systems, supply fans, fan coil units, and condenser loops and others.
Able to work independent of supervision
Able to work flexible shifts as required
Must be computer savvy
