About this role
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
- Regularly meets with respective team to share information and plan special events. Ensures staff have a complete understanding of the F&B menus.
- Assist Restaurant Manager to manage talent effectively through training and coaching while recognizing exceptional team members’ performance.
- Motivate and enhance the overall performance of the team.
- Support the restaurant manager to interview for hiring and job assignment as and when needed.
- Ensure daily condition of facility and equipment are in good condition and report all malfunctions to leadership and Engineering.
- Ensure that beverage and equipment are received adhere to specifications and sufficient according to par level set.
- Ensures restaurants are ready for service each day before opening and complies with all Company standards and service standards. Ensures work area and storeroom are always clean and organized.
- Ensuring that schedules and weekly time sheets are submitted to Payroll. Direct assignment, training, motivation, evaluation, and termination of staff
- Supervises staff, ensuring that correct procedures, methods of service, conduct and grooming policies are followed accordingly. Liaise with Human Resources on team performance according to Industrial Agreement and job descriptions.
- Keep medical health certificate current.
- Maintains knowledge of local competition and general industry trends.
- Maintains liaison with reservations and sales to facilitate the proper handling of restaurant obligations.
- Ensure all credit and financial transactions are handled in a secure and compliant manner.
- Conduct proper food and beverage inventory procedures.
- Support to updates financial tracking spreadsheet daily to assist with month end reports.
- Perform other reasonable duties as assigned from time to time.
- The company operates a twenty-four (24) business. Therefore, you may be rostered to work shifts, which may change from time to time.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years college degree.
- Minimum of 1 year’s hotel/restaurant management preferable
- Previous hotel-related experience
- Demonstrated knowledge of service and F&B operations
- Solid negotiation, persuasion, communication, presentation and public speaking skills with high level of creativity and innovation
- Food Handler’s Certificate, First Aid and CP
