Astrion has an exciting opportunity for an Engineering Technician V for the RTC Test and Engineering Services (RTES) Contract supporting the Army Division.

 

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS

 

  • 9 years of applicable experience supporting engineering, design, or testing of hardware in the appropriate area of specialization; or 4 years of applicable college/vocational/military/technical school and 5 years of applicable experience in the assigned specialty area; and the following additional requirements:

 

Instrumentation – Experience must include successful completion of sixteen (16) weeks of civilian or military training in electronics or basic instrumentation techniques and a minimum of 6 years of experience in electronics/instrumentation supporting engineering or testing of military hardware.

 

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Government security clearance. (Must be a U.S. Citizen.)
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screening.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS 

 

  • Must be flexible in adapting to deadlines, changing schedules, competing priorities, and unpredictable events. 
  • Thorough, detail oriented, and organized, with excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects at once. 
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and engineering instructions.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).

 

 RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Construct and test cables and wiring harnesses from drawings.
  • Use drawings, general and special test equipment to test cables, wiring harnesses, populated printed circuit boards, receivers, and transmitters.
  • Use drawings, general and special tools and test equipment to assemble, test, and troubleshoot TM/FTS kits.
  • Integrate TM/FTS kits into missiles prior to test missions.
  •  Integrate network enabled test equipment.
  • Troubleshoot complex issues related to test setup, board manufacturing defects.
