Broad Functions: To support the Warehouse Manager in coordinating daily supply chain operations across all locations, including receiving, storage, and distribution activities. Assist in implementing efficient inventory management systems, ensuring timely fulfillment of departmental needs, and coordinating the flow of goods from suppliers. Help maintain quality standards and operational protocols while supporting both internal requirements and external customer expectations.

 

Main Duties and Responsibilities: 

  1. Support the Warehouse Manager in supervising Warehouse and Receiving Associates; provide day-to-day guidance and assist with training programs for warehouse staff. 
  2. Help implement performance management practices including monitoring productivity, providing feedback, and documenting performance issues. 
  3. Assist in evaluating equipment needs and maintaining warehouse infrastructure, ensuring all storage systems and material handling equipment operate safely and efficiently. 
  4. Coordinate and oversee daily receiving operations, ensuring proper unloading, inspection, and documentation of incoming restaurant supplies. 
  5. Monitor storage practices and enforce proper organization of food products according to food safety protocols; assist in implementing inventory rotation systems to minimize waste. 
  6. Identify and help resolve discrepancies between received goods and purchase documentation; ensure proper flow of paperwork between departments. 
  7. Collect and organize data for warehouse performance metrics; prepare reports on receiving accuracy, inventory management, and order fulfillment. 
  8. Assist in budget planning by gathering data on operational costs, staff requirements, and equipment needs. 
  9. Help maintain appropriate staffing levels by assisting with scheduling, identifying staffing gaps, and participating in the onboarding of new warehouse employees. 
  10. Enforce compliance with food safety regulations and company policies throughout warehouse operations. 
  11. Serve as liaison between the warehouse and other departments to ensure efficient communication and coordinated supply chain operations. 
  12. Assume managerial responsibilities in the absence of the Warehouse Manager. 
  13. Perform additional duties as assigned by the Warehouse Manager or management. 

 

Skills and Qualifications: 

  1. High school diploma required; associate’s degree in supply chain management, Business, or related field preferred. 
  2. Minimum of 1-2 years' experience in warehouse operations, with at least 6 months in a supervisory capacity. 
  3. Working knowledge of restaurant operations and food and beverage handling procedures. 
  4. Must be minimum 21 years of age. 
  5. Ability to communicate and understand the predominant language(s) of the restaurant's trading area. 
  6. Proficiency in inventory management systems and basic computer applications. 
  7. Demonstrated ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals. 
  8. Experience with scheduling, staff coordination, and basic training techniques. 
  9. Ability to stand for long periods of time and work in various temperature environments. 
  10. Capable of reaching, bending, stooping and frequently lifting up to 50 pounds. 
  11. Demonstrates flexibility to work various shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed. 
  12. Ability to work effectively with diverse populations. 
  13. Valid Driver's License.
