Receiving - Material Handler

Arcosa Shoring is currently searching for a Material Handler for our Receiving Department . As a Material Handler  at Arcosa Shoring , you will expedite the movement of raw and finished materials. You will pull and deliver materials to control the flow of goods. 

Location:  Houston, TX

Schedule: Monday - Friday 6:00 am - 3:45 pm

What you'll do:

• Work in a warehouse/outside environment to issue parts/supplies to internal customers
• Operate forklifts and combilifts
• Conduct Quality inspections as needed
• Check incoming material against BOL for accuracy 
• Update inventory tracking software 
• Complete knowledge of all workstations, loading, and storage requirements of materials
• Backfill for other MOEs when needed 

What you'll need:

• Able to read and write in English & Spanish.
• Able to read a tape measure
• Ability to measure square inches on a steel plate preferred
• Must be able to operate a forklift and pass in-house certification.
• Safely and efficiently perform all essential functions.
• Regular and predictable attendance is required. 
• Ability to function as a team member.
• Must have a valid driver's license 

Working Conditions:

• Work environment includes plant, warehouse, paint department production and non-production areas and plant grounds.
• This position may require work/maintenance coverage beyond the normal hours, shift, and on weekends/holidays
• Ability to tolerate both high and low temperatures and loud noises typical of a manufacturing plant

• Know and follow all safety rules and procedures.
• Participate in safety committees and initiatives as assigned.
