About this role
Position Overview
As a Finishing Technician you will perform repetitive part finishing tasks such as cleaning, deburring, grinding, and other production operations to produce machined metal parts.
Key Responsibilities
- Bench assembly:
- Places parts in specified relationship to each other.
- Uses hand tools to assemble small parts.
- Part Finishing:
- Scrapes or rubs parts with file, wire brush, or buffing cloth.
- Holds part against buffing or grinding wheel.
- Deburrs or polishes parts.
- Cleans interior surfaces of holes.
- Applies abrasive compound, wax, or other dressing to facilitate cleaning or polishing operation.
- Will be crossed trained to work at different workstations in production as needed.
- Frequently will use a microscope and a variety of hand tools to assemble and finish the machines parts.
- Follows safety procedures accordingly.
- Other duties as assigned
What We’re Looking For
- Equivalent to high school education or related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Prior manufacturing experience.
- Attendance/Punctuality - Is consistently at work and on time.
- Dependability - Follows instructions, responds to management direction.
- Quality - Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness; monitors own work to ensure quality.
- Safety and Security - Observes safety and security procedures; reports potentially unsafe conditions; uses equipment and materials properly.
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to follow written and oral instructions and SOPs.

Schedule
- Monday – Friday: 7:00 AM – 4:30 PM
- Optional overtime on Saturdays (as needed)
