About this role
We are looking for a Simulation Engineer to join our founding team. We are seeking a high-agency builder who is excited by the 0 to 1 grind of an early-stage, intense startup environment. This person will take ambiguous, real-world systems and turn them into validated simulations that customers can trust. This role is critical to our growth as it will directly enable us to onboard new customers and expand our platform's capabilities.
What will you be doing?
Own the end-to-end process of onboarding customer systems, translating their physical robots, sensors, and environments into our simulation platform.
Build and calibrate high-fidelity simulation models for various sensing modalities like cameras, lidar, and radar, from first principles.
Work hands-on and on-site with customers to tune and calibrate simulations, taking them from 80% to near 100% accuracy.
Define and execute test plans to quantitatively validate simulation fidelity against real-world data.
Build internal tooling and automation in Python to make calibration, testing, and onboarding repeatable and scalable.
