About this role
- Ensure full regulatory and SMS compliance for assigned tankers, maintaining high technical, operational, and safety standards through rigorous monitoring and oversight.
- Plan, supervise, and execute major repairs and dry dockings, prepare operating budgets, and control costs by optimizing supplies and monitoring consumption.
- Conduct mandatory vessel inspections (at least twice yearly, including sailing visits), produce detailed reports within 14 days, and ensure timely closure of all deficiencies.
- Monitor vessel performance including fuel/lube oil consumption, machinery parameters, and charter party compliance, while managing statutory surveys and class certificates.
- Lead incident investigations and implement corrective actions, manage risk assessments, coordinate with QHSE/Operations departments, and maintain clear communication with shipboard crews and clients.
- Preferred as minimum 1 year as CE in Gas carrier LPG , in Junior ranks Oil Tanker will add advantage for this role.
- As Vessel Manager (Suptd) – 1 or 2 year in a company managed Gas Carrier LPG or Oil Tankers.
