The Quality Control & Calibration Technician is responsible for the calibration, routine inspection, testing, maintenance and repair of instruments, meters, gauges and other testing and measuring equipment. They are highly motivated and have a desire to work in a fast paced, quality centered environment. Primary Responsibilities
Responsible for the gage calibration and record keeping activities involved.
Maintain all controlled document files and test records in a timely and accurate manner
Coordinate calibration of all test equipment and fixtures
Monitor critical equipment and instrumentation to ensure proper operation and calibration
Conduct testing and training to ensure the total measurement systems are adequate.
Ensure the gage library is controlled and maintained.
Research new gage technology and propose improvements where needed.
Perform other related duties as instructed
QualificationsMinimum Requirements
4+ years relevant experience in Quality Control.
Ability to be self-directed and motivated during majority of workday.
Working knowledge of measurement instruments
Mechanical aptitude desired
Good arithmetic skills
Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing.
PC, Windows, MS Office proficiency.
Environment/Physical Requirements with or without Accommodation:
This position is carried out in a fabrication shop environment and as such has the following physical work requirements:
Must be able to lift up to 100lbs.
Position requires the ability to stand for prolonged periods of time.
Position may require bending, kneeling, and stooping.
Exposed to shop elements such as noise, dust, odors, and chemicals.
