Teller

Performs standard teller functions such as checking and savings transactions, cash receipts and payment services.

Hourly Wage: $20.67 - $24.03

Job Duties:

Knows customers and employees and detects unusual/suspicious activity. Supplies information to determine the extent of activity or provide explanations that would differentiate a suspicious activity from non-suspicious activity.

Identifies all reportable Currency Transactions. Process and complete CTRs with accuracy. 

Responds to inquiries or refers inquiries to the appropriate department or person, and exhibits the necessary follow through with customers and/or staff involved.

Receives and verifies checking and savings deposits 

Issues receipts reflective of account withdrawals and deposits.

Processes withdrawals and negotiable items. 

Verifies endorsements and ensures proper identification is presented.

Identifies counterfeit currency.

Prepares coin bags to be dispatched.

Buys and sells currency from the vault as needed and ensures not to exceed cash drawer limits.

Maintains appropriate logs and reports including, Cash Check/Teller In & Out report, Armor and various reports.

Processes petty cash request and seals in dual custody.

Assists with vault balancing. 

Balances cash drawer daily.

Processes, solves and answers customer transactions, problems or inquiries.

Phone Coverage, answers telephones, answers questions and directs callers to proper Bank personnel.

Assures compliance with all Bank policies and procedures and all applicable state and federal banking laws, rules and regulations.

Completes administrative tasks correctly and on time and supports the Bank’s goals and values.

Performs the position safely, without endangering the health or safety of themselves or others and reports potentially unsafe conditions. 

Maintains regular and reliable attendance.

Maintains confidentiality of customer account information.
