Our client is a one of the leading companies in construction, real estate investment in Vietnam who is seeking an experienced candidate.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Pre-Opening Phase
- Develop operating standards, SOPs, and guidelines for the pre-opening stage.
- Review and supervise design standards, operational layouts, functional areas, MEP systems, mock-up rooms, finishing materials, and procurement packages in coordination with relevant teams.
- Coordinate with investors, contractors, and operators to ensure pre-opening and handover schedules are completed on time.
- Review business plans and provide strategic and operational recommendations to management.
- Oversee OS&E planning, supplier review, operating contracts, and required legal documentation for project launch.
2. Operations Phase
- Standardize operating procedures and service standards for self-managed hotels and properties.
- Oversee overall operational and financial performance, including service quality, brand standards, profitability, and asset value.
- Manage operator performance, annual KPIs, OPEX, business plans, revenue, costs, GOP, guest satisfaction, and compliance with management agreements.
- Oversee engineering and energy costs, CAPEX, FF&E, maintenance, risk management, safety, and legal compliance.
- Evaluate operator performance and recommend corrective actions where required.
3. Human Resources Management & Development
- Develop workforce plans, competency standards, recruitment, and training plans for the Operations function and managed properties.
- Evaluate employee performance and recommend recruitment, transfers, appointments, rewards, or disciplinary actions as appropriate.
- Develop training programs, succession plans, and a professional service-oriented working culture.
4. Other Responsibilities
- Directly take on the role of Hotel General Manager during the pre-opening and initial operational handover stage of the assigned property, as required by management.
- Perform other duties assigned in accordance with the position’s responsibilities.
Requirements
1. Education
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
- Postgraduate qualifications or overseas experience in Tourism or Resort Real Estate are preferred.
2. Experience
- Minimum 10 years of experience in the hotel and resort industry, including at least 5 years in a similar position at a hotel chain management company operating 4-star properties or above.
3. Professional Expertise
- Strong experience in pre-opening management, hotel operations, technical and asset management, and OS&E procurement.
- Ability to develop standardized pre-opening strategies, operating models, and service standards across multiple properties.
- Strong understanding of hotel financial and operational performance, including revenue optimization, yield management, OPEX, CAPEX, and asset value optimization.
- Experience in sustainable asset management, supply chain risk management, and the application of technology to improve operational efficiency.
4. Leadership & Management
- Strong strategic thinking, business analysis, and decision-making capabilities.
- Ability to set objectives, manage budgets and risks, and establish consistent operating systems across different properties and operating units.
- Strong people leadership capabilities, including talent assessment, team development, succession planning, coaching, and performance management.
- Ability to influence and coordinate effectively with senior management, internal teams, operators, and other stakeholders.
5. Key Skills
- Strong change management, problem-solving, and cross-functional coordination skills.
- Strong service mindset, adaptability, and results orientation.
- Fluent English across all four skills.
