Our client is a company specialized in chemicals, who is looking for a qualified candidate to join their firm.

• Develop and execute the overall operational strategy in close collaboration with senior leadership, ensuring alignment with the company’s long-term business direction.
  
• Translate corporate objectives into clear operational priorities, action plans, and measurable improvement initiatives across the organization.
  
• Drive sustainable business growth by continuously enhancing operational efficiency, productivity, reliability, and organizational effectiveness.
  
• Provide strong leadership across multiple functions and locations to ensure consistent execution of strategic and operational priorities.
  

• Lead and oversee manufacturing and production activities across multiple facilities and operating locations.
  
• Ensure production operations consistently meet required standards for output, efficiency, reliability, product quality, cost, and delivery performance.
  
• Optimize manufacturing capacity, resource utilization, and production planning to support current business requirements and future growth.
  
• Identify operational gaps and implement improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, process stability, and overall plant performance.
  
• Establish consistent operating practices and performance standards across production sites.
  

• Provide overall leadership for supply chain and logistics operations, including warehousing, distribution, delivery planning, transportation, and fleet management.
  
• Develop and optimize supply chain processes to ensure reliable product availability, efficient delivery, and effective cost management.
  
• Drive improvements in logistics productivity, service levels, asset utilization, and operational efficiency.
  
• Ensure supply chain activities are conducted in accordance with applicable safety, quality, and compliance requirements.
  
• Strengthen coordination between production, supply chain, commercial teams, and other relevant functions to ensure effective end-to-end operations.
  

• Oversee technical and operational support provided to customers where applicable, including implementation, commissioning, maintenance support, technical troubleshooting, and other after-sales services.
  
• Ensure technical service activities are delivered efficiently and contribute to customer satisfaction and long-term business relationships.
  
• Work closely with relevant commercial and technical teams to address complex customer requirements and operational issues.
  

• Lead transformation programs aimed at standardizing, simplifying, and improving operational processes across locations and functions.
  
• Develop and implement operational excellence initiatives to improve productivity, efficiency, cost competitiveness, and organizational performance.
  
• Drive digitalization, automation, and technology-enabled improvements across operations.
  
• Identify opportunities to streamline workflows, strengthen performance management, and improve decision-making through better use of systems and data.
  
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and operational discipline throughout the organization.
  

• Partner with relevant functions to maintain high standards of health, safety, environmental protection, and quality across all operations.
  
• Ensure compliance with internal policies, operational standards, applicable regulations, and corporate requirements.
  
• Embed safety and quality considerations into operational decision-making, planning, and execution.
  
• Maintain reliable operations and high service standards to support customer satisfaction and business continuity.
  

• Lead, engage, and develop management teams across multiple operating locations and functions.
  
• Build the organizational capabilities and leadership capacity required to support future business growth.
  
• Establish clear performance expectations and strengthen accountability throughout the operations organization.
  
• Drive talent development, succession planning, leadership development, and capability-building initiatives for critical operational roles.
  
• Coach and develop senior and middle management teams to strengthen leadership effectiveness and organizational performance.
  
• Support workforce planning and organizational design to ensure the business has the appropriate structure and capabilities for its strategic objectives.
  

• Provide senior leadership oversight for designated business units, strategic partnerships, or joint operations as assigned.
  
• Ensure operational readiness, effective governance, and alignment between internal and external stakeholders.
  
• Represent the organization in key operational and business discussions where required.
  
• Support the development and execution of strategic investments, expansion initiatives, and major operational projects.
  

• Promote strong alignment and collaboration across business units, locations, and corporate functions.
  
• Maintain a visible leadership presence across key operating locations and provide hands-on support to local management teams.
  
• Work closely with senior leaders across Commercial, Finance, Human Resources, Supply Chain, Engineering, and other functions to deliver company-wide priorities.
  
• Oversee selected strategic initiatives on behalf of senior management and ensure effective coordination among key stakeholders.
  
• Contribute to broader business planning and decision-making as a member of the senior leadership team.
  

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Management, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or a related discipline.
  
• A postgraduate qualification such as an MBA or equivalent management degree would be an advantage.
  

• Minimum of 10 years of progressive leadership experience within manufacturing, chemicals, or other complex industrial environments.
  
• Proven experience managing large-scale manufacturing, operations, supply chain, and logistics functions across multiple locations.
  
• Strong track record of leading operational transformation, process improvement, productivity enhancement, and cost optimization initiatives.
  
• Demonstrated experience in operational excellence, digitalization, automation, or technology-driven transformation projects.
  
• Proven capability in managing large and geographically dispersed organizations.
  
• Strong experience in organizational development, leadership development, succession planning, and change management.
  
• Previous senior-level experience such as Operations Director, Manufacturing Director, Supply Chain Director, COO, Deputy General Director, or a comparable leadership role is highly preferred.
  
• Experience working within complex corporate structures, partnerships, or multi-entity organizations would be advantageous.
  

• Strong strategic thinking combined with a practical and execution-oriented leadership style.
  
• Excellent understanding of manufacturing operations, supply chain management, productivity improvement, and cost control.
  
• Strong commercial and financial awareness with the ability to balance operational performance, customer requirements, and business profitability.
  
• Proven ability to lead organizational transformation and manage change across large teams.
  
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making capabilities.
  
• Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills, particularly when working with senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
  
• Strong people leadership skills with demonstrated ability to build, motivate, and develop high-performing management teams.
  
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  
• Professional proficiency in English.
  
• Willingness and ability to travel regularly across operating locations as required.
  

• Senior operations leader with substantial experience in chemicals.
  
• Proven ability to manage complex, multi-site operations and large frontline workforces.
  
• Strong track record of driving operational performance, transformation, organizational development, and sustainable business growth.
  
• Comfortable operating at both strategic and hands-on execution levels within a dynamic and demanding business environment.
