Our client is a leading electrical manufacturing corporation in Vietnam, seeking experienced professionals to join its organization.


Investment Strategy & Capital Allocation
  • Lead the development and continuous refinement of investment strategies, portfolio direction, and capital allocation priorities aligned with the Group’s long-term objectives.
  • Evaluate and recommend capital allocation and reallocation strategies across sectors, businesses, assets, and development stages to maximize long-term value creation and capital efficiency.
  • Regularly review portfolio composition and provide strategic recommendations to the Board of Directors and Executive Management regarding capital deployment, restructuring, partnerships, holding, or exit decisions.
Market Research & Investment Opportunity Development
  • Lead macroeconomic, industry, market, and company research to identify emerging trends, growth drivers, investment opportunities, and potential risks.
  • Develop investment theses and translate research insights into actionable opportunity pipelines aligned with the Group’s strategic priorities.
  • Provide independent investment recommendations based on data-driven analysis, sound investment judgment, and deep understanding of target industries and sectors.
Investment Lifecycle & M&A Leadership
  • Manage the complete investment lifecycle, including opportunity sourcing, evaluation, due diligence, valuation, transaction structuring, negotiation, approval, and closing.
  • Coordinate with internal teams, portfolio companies, partners, and external advisors on large-scale or complex transactions, ensuring analytical rigor, investment discipline, and effective risk management.
  • Present, challenge, and defend investment proposals and strategic recommendations before the Board of Directors, Executive Management, or Investment Committee.
Portfolio Management & Post-Investment Value Creation
  • Monitor and evaluate portfolio performance against investment theses, business objectives, and capital efficiency targets.
  • Work closely with portfolio companies to improve business performance and enterprise value through strategic initiatives, capital structure optimization, operating model enhancement, governance improvements, and value-creation programs.
  • Recommend capital injections, restructuring initiatives, partnerships, exits, or strategic adjustments when market conditions or business priorities change.
Senior Stakeholder Management, Partnership Development & Team Building
  • Act as a trusted investment advisor to the Board of Directors and Executive Management, providing independent perspectives while ensuring alignment on major investment decisions.
  • Build and leverage relationships with investment partners, financial institutions, investment funds, advisors, and other stakeholders to identify investment opportunities and resources.
  • Develop a high-performing investment team with strong analytical capabilities, professional discipline, standardized investment methodologies, and effective succession planning.

Requirements

  • 12–15 years of experience in investment, M&A, Private Equity, portfolio management, or related fields, including at least 5 years in senior leadership roles.
  • Proven track record in developing investment strategies, capital allocation frameworks, and managing large-scale investment portfolios.
  • Direct experience leading complex investment and M&A transactions, with strong expertise in due diligence, valuation, transaction structuring, and negotiation.
  • Strong strategic thinking, investment research, analytical capabilities, and independent judgment, with the ability to quickly understand new industries and sectors.
  • Experience presenting to and influencing senior stakeholders, including Boards of Directors, CEOs, Executive Management teams, or Investment Committees.
  • Experience building and developing investment teams, establishing investment processes, and implementing disciplined investment decision-making frameworks.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Investment, Economics, Business Administration, or related fields. CFA certification, postgraduate degree, or international investment qualifications are preferred.
  • Professional English proficiency with strong business communication, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Candidates currently or previously serving as Chief Investment Officer, Investment Director, Principal, Managing Director, or equivalent roles within investment groups, Private Equity funds, or organizations with large-scale investment and M&A activities are highly preferred.
  • Experience in investment banking, strategy consulting, or deal advisory is advantageous, particularly with hands-on experience in investment execution and portfolio performance management.
