The Maintenance Lead troubleshoots, repairs, maintains, and installs HVAC and related equipment as assigned, and assumes day-to-day coordination of specific agreements or projects as assigned to ensure contractual commitments are met in a timely, cost-effective manner.

 

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Perform general handyman tasks (patch and paint walls, install corner guards and kick plates, replace ceiling tiles, basic carpentry repairs and/or repair or replace carpet, hang/install pictures, electronics, and anchors, door repairs, exterior pressure washing).

  • Conduct basic plumbing repairs (unclog sinks/toilets, replace flush sensors, faucets).

  • Support engineering team (HVAC filter replacement, lighting maintenance, inventory management and restocking supplies).

  • Engage with building occupants regarding repairs and ticket updates.

  • Escort vendors and assist with event setup/furniture moves as needed.

  • Responding promptly to facility emergencies, spills, leaks, hazards, and other urgent conditions.

  • Assessing problems, troubleshooting equipment or facility issues, and taking appropriate corrective action within the scope of the role.

  • Escalating issues with clear details, recommended next steps, and a sense of urgency when additional support is required.

  • Supporting emergency cleanup and recovery efforts to restore safe operations.

  • Completing work orders accurately, safely, and within established service expectations.

  • Performing routine inspections and addressing concerns before they become larger operational issues.

  • Assisting with housekeeping, cleanup, and general facility needs when additional support is required.

  • Maintaining tools, equipment, mechanical spaces, storage areas, and work zones in a clean and orderly condition.

  • Coordinating with facility leaders, vendors, and other teams to resolve issues efficiently.

  • Communicating status, risks, delays, and completed work clearly and promptly.

  • Taking ownership of issues from identification through resolution rather than assuming they belong to someone else.

  • Identifying recurring problems and recommending improvements that increase safety, reliability, efficiency, or service quality.

  • Supporting a safe, clean, reliable, and client-ready environment at all times.

 

Qualifications

Qualifications: 

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar environment or facility management setting.

  • Basic knowledge of general maintenance tasks and hand tools.

  • Familiarity with work order systems (Corrigo, ServiceNow, or similar).

  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with facility managers, engineers, contractors, and vendors.

  • Customer-focused mindset and commitment to meeting service level agreements (SLAs).
