Description



. This is a full-time, on-site position ideal for an associate-level physician looking to make a meaningful impact in a collaborative clinical environment.



As a Gastroenterology specialist, you will diagnose and treat a wide range of gastrointestinal conditions, perform essential procedures, and develop comprehensive care plans for patients. Working alongside a multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in advancing our practice's reputation for high-quality, patient-centered care in the medical field.



Responsibilities



  • Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations and detailed medical histories.
  • Diagnose and treat disorders of the gastrointestinal tract, including the esophagus, stomach, intestines, liver, and pancreas.
  • Perform and interpret diagnostic procedures such as endoscopies, colonoscopies, and biopsies.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.
  • Prescribe medications, recommend dietary changes, and coordinate follow-up care.
  • Collaborate with nurses, primary care physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient management.
  • Educate patients and their families on digestive health, preventive care, and lifestyle modifications.
  • Maintain accurate, detailed, and up-to-date patient medical records.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical audits to enhance practice standards.
  • Stay current with the latest research, technologies, and best practices in gastroenterology.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior medical staff and support personnel.
  • Ensure strict compliance with all medical regulations, ethical standards, and practice protocols.


Requirements



  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
  • Board certification or board eligibility in Gastroenterology.
  • Valid medical license to practice in the state, or the ability to obtain one prior to employment.
  • Associate-level experience in gastroenterology or a closely related medical field.
  • Strong clinical skills in diagnosing and managing a broad spectrum of GI disorders.
  • Proficiency in endoscopic procedures and related diagnostic technologies.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust with patients and colleagues.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, on-site clinical environment.
  • Commitment to continuing education and ongoing professional development.
  • Strong problem-solving, critical-thinking, and decision-making abilities.
  • Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care and treatment.
  • Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems is preferred.


Schedule: 1-2 clinic days and 2-3 procedure days per week



Rotating call shifts



Clinic Volume: 18 patients per day



Procedure Volume: 8-10 per day



No ERCP or EUS required



Current Team: 3 gastroenterologists, 2 APPs



Must be board-certified or board-eligible
